Fundamentally we do not want the Metis Line to be something that is only available to people who know how to sail and are very fit and healthy, so we are providing 2 services to alleviate this:

1. Sailing Tuition
2. Crew

The fact is that almost everyone taking the yachts will require some tuition for 2 reasons:

1. The yachts are junk rigged and not many people have experience with this type of rig
2. The yachts use cat heads for anchoring and very few people have experience with these

So in support of the Metis Line operation the Malabar Yacht Club are running training courses for free to people wanting to provide PO's.

Secondly the yachts are simply equipped and people who are used to push button electric anchor winches and high geared sheet winches are going to be disappointed. To help with this the Malabar Yacht Club can provide and train young Indian and Nepali boys and girls who will crew for you if you need it.
